Well, unfortunately, today was an absolute bust...however, this happens and sometimes too often...
Although we knew today wasn't an ideal for chasing tornadoes, we had hopes of seeing a beautiful storm with decent size hail...Nope, didn't happen... That's ok, we will have better opportunities as the week continues. We will also have more opportunities next week...well, hopefully...
As for today, uplift proved it wasn't enough for severe weather. The ingredients just didn't match up today; however, the chance for severe weather increases as we move into the weekend, starting with tomorrow! We will brief at 9:30a.m. tomorrow morning to discuss the models and our plan. I will keep you posted as I know more information.
As for today, all we did was sit in our hotel room and watch radar...We quickly learned that this was the worst part of storm chasing...waiting on storms to form...This part is not seen in shows like Storm Chasers and movies like Twister (if you consider this a "reliable" source...) However, patience is a virtue, so we will remain patient and optismistic. I sure hope my followers remain patient with us. I am sorry to disappoint my readers, but hopefully we will have better luck tomorrow. Keep us in your prayers! Stay tuned for more updates!
